World Champs

Well, I have been over here for about a week now, Just trying to get the lead out and get excited for Worlds. Last weekend at Hoogergeide was a bit of a debacle. My bag didnt show up the day before so i was rolling it summer skinsuit style and it sucked. after 3 laps i was in a bad way, and knew it was only going to get worse, so I pulled it and headed for the showers. There I found Richard Gronendal chillin to and we had a nice time chillin out in the nude together while he fondled my new Shimano MTB shoes. Bit of a surrreal experiance. Now it is back to killing time at the Hotel in Izegem, it is pretty nice, we have a view of trees out the window and even 3 TV channels in english, but the Bordom is slowly creeping in. Tonkin and I have been going to "Tea" everyday about 4 oclock and that is about all I have to look forward to after riding in the morning. Only one more day to kill though, so that is nice. Tomorrow we will even get to watch the Juniors and U23 guys go at it on TV. I am pretty stoked to go out and giver in the race, and then get the hell out of dodge and make my way down to New Zealnd for a sweet as break. The other day we took Gully on this 4 hour ride and he was totally cracking, but being gully he just Steeled himself for the hard parts and mae it through with nary a wimper. That guy is tough! Thats about all I have to report, the crew here is pretty cool this year and things are pretty relaxed. hopefully we can put in some good rides this weekend and finally hang it up for a few weks. I know I for one need the break. Untill then, I think it is about time for Tea!

Oh blimey, that sounds chilly. Smart move to drop out of that nastyness. Nice to know Groanin-doll has a shoe fetish. Mr. Tonkin is such a civil gentleman, sharing his tea sojourns with you. Hope you had some crumpets too. If not, maybe some waffles.

Hunker down circus clown. One more big push and then time to drop the kids off at the pool. NZ sounds like a good idea. Keep it real!

so he crashed his brains out pulling the "flying scorpion" with his bike landing up on him. some old belgian guy pulled it off and he finished the race, merrily following the stars. tomorrows flight after tonights sleep = can't turn his head, move his back nor lift his arms. but damn it feels good to be a bike racer.
